Yesterday a guide led me to a secret hawk nesting site and turkey vulture roosting site somewhere in the verdant hinterlands of Pima County, Arizona.

This is a juvenile turkey vulture.

Black-tailed jackrabbit.

Common blackhawk caught mid-screech. Look at the tongue!

Adult turkey vulture closeup.

Crested saguaro cactus.

Turkey vulture flyover.

Turkey vulture flyby.

Turkey vulture kettling.

This is a tarantula. Not a terrific photo, because it wasn't cooperating.
