These are the first photos for my July 2025 archives. For some images I used the Big Sigma 150 - 600mm S lens; others I used the Nikkor 200 - 500mm lens. The camera was the Nikon D850.

Closeup canyon towhee at the birdbath.

Cactus wren, the state bird of Arizona, strikes a pose.

Mourning dove foraging in my backyard.

Cactus wren eating an orange. See the orange pulp in the beak. Look at the tongue!

Cactus wren in a mesquite tree, behind the mesquite beans.

Curve-billed thrasher selects a peanut.

Alice Jr., juvenile Cooper's hawk, in the pine tree in the front yard.
Just now I realized only the hawk photo was with the Nikkor lens. All the others were the Big Sigma lens.
